The Ambassadors of Health and Wellbeing for Employees in the CCS<\/strong> consortium brings together four organisations operating within the CCS \u2013 the Otok Institute<\/strong>, the producer of the Kino Otok festival<\/strong>, the Glej Theatre Association, the Motovila and Divja misel Institutes<\/strong> \u2013 as well as two organisations active in the fields of healthcare and education \u2013 the Expressive Laboratory AGB Institute <\/strong>and the Association for the Development of Mindfulness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Our joint activities over a 27-month period<\/strong> between 2026 and 2028<\/strong> stem from the recognised need to improve working conditions, cross-sectoral cooperation and development <\/strong>within non-governmental organisations in the field of culture and creativity (CCS). In the cultural sector, and more broadly across the non-governmental sector, we are faced with inadequately drafted foundational documents, a lack of strategic human resources development, high staff turnover, job insecurity and rising levels of burnout, all of which seriously jeopardise the sustainable operation of organisations and the well-being of their staff.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The consortium is thus strategically positioned at the intersection of culture, health and the development of the NGO sector<\/strong>; as a pilot example of good practice, it offers a multi-level solution for the long-term sustainability, resilience and development of creative work. The project builds on the principles of sustainable development \u2013 cultural, social, environmental and economic \u2013 and aims to establish systemic conditions in which stable, inclusive and psychologically safe creative environments can be fostered.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The consortium\u2019s short-term objectives and activities<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n

  1. Well-structured mandatory and recommended framework documents<\/strong> \u2013 the revision of documents to enable stable, effective and strategic planning of organisational operations.<\/li>\n
  2. Systematic human resources management<\/strong> \u2013 the introduction of modern HR practices, including the definition of HR roles.<\/li>\n
  3. Introduction of measures for decent work and fair pay<\/strong> \u2013 the establishment of transparent pay scales to reduce overwork and staff turnover.<\/li>\n
  4. Comprehensive care for well-being<\/strong> \u2013 the introduction of mechanisms to prevent psychosocial distress and burnout.<\/li>\n
  5. Cross-sectoral cooperation<\/strong> \u2013 strengthening cooperation between partners from different sectors and broadening areas of expertise.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    Our long-term aim<\/strong>, however, is to create conditions in which we \u2013 as those who produce high-quality content for diverse audiences and support creators across various fields of art and culture \u2013 can ourselves receive the much-needed support. This is not merely a professional necessity, but also a profound human need and the foundation for high-quality, sustainable and ethical operations within the NGO sector.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    The consortium\u2019s activities are co-funded by the Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration under the 2025 public call for proposals for the development and professionalisation of NGOs<\/strong> and volunteering<\/strong> from the Fund for the Development of Non-Governmental Organisations<\/strong>, specifically through the co-funding of six posts in six organisations within the consortium, totalling \u20ac402,500.00.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
