As part of GO! 2025<\/span>\u00a0European Capital of Culture<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Kinoatelje<\/span>\u00a0conceived two projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Oriente Vzhod \/\u00a0<\/span>Occidente<\/span>\u00a0Zahod<\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>creates an atlas of cinematic images, historical turning points, and shifting borders between Slovenia and Italy, while\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Our\u00a0<\/span>Daily<\/span>\u00a0Cinema<\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0sheds light on the history of Gorizia through the traces of an omnipresent film culture. Both projects\u00a0<\/span>encourage<\/span>\u00a0reflection on how we understand and experience our shared cross-border space through\u00a0<\/span>cinema<\/span>. The event will be in Italian.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Otok Institute showcases\u00a0the literary and visual outcomes of a project\u00a0undertaken\u00a0in collaboration with the\u00a0Stazioni_Postaje\u00a0APS association\u00a0to\u00a0explore\u00a0the Slovenian-Italian\u00a0cross-border multicultural space through its poetry, dialects, and\u00a0cinema, bringing together two generations: seniors in nursing homes, who translated the poetry into dialects, and young people, who adapted it into short films.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The PODIPO project was funded by the\u00a0EU\u00a0through the Small Projects Fund GO! 2025 of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme, managed by\u00a0<\/span><\/i>EGTC GO<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year’s\u00a0<\/span>Salsaverde<\/span>\u00a0Gallery exhibition by the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>University of Nova Gorica School of Arts features<\/span>\u00a0student<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>works in which the artists, drawing on their personal experience, reflect\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>the interplay between them and the world<\/span>: their struggles, their relationship to their generation, and\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>society at large.\u00a0<\/span>These<\/span>\u00a0are quiet, individual explorations, islands of\u00a0<\/span>telling<\/span>\u00a0silence in a restless world<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through video fragments, spatial elements, and research notes, the installation examines everyday gestures as unconscious routines. By deconstructing bodily memory, the project\u00a0<\/span>allows<\/span>\u00a0space for reflection on the patterns we unconsciously inscribe with our bodies into the collective choreography of everyday life.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
