Instead of competing with each other, the films in Kino Otok’s carefully curated line-up and their authors co-exist harmoniously in the festival’s sections: the traditional Signals, 35mm Cult-ure, Silvan’s Bay, and Video on the Beach>, the still fresh Europe 2.0 and Home Sweet Home, and the brand new Chiaro-oscuro (with this year’s subtitle Old age in step with the times).

Submarine at Kino Otok is a varied film education programme for children, youth and families who love film and want to learn about the magical world of moving images from up close. This is a programme aimed at Kino Otok's youngest audiences, aged 3 to 18 years, as well as their parents or carers as encouragement in finding high-quality digital content for children.
