The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe Who Lived for Twenty and Eight Years All Alone on an Inhabited Island and Said It Was His / Het leven en de vreemde verrassende avonturen van Robinson Crusoe die acht en twintig jaar helemaal alleen op een bewoond eiland leefde en zei dat het van hem was

Benjamin Deboosere, Belgium, 2023, 75’

After being shipwrecked, the Englishman Robinson Crusoe ends up on an inhabited island. As a man of an insatiable exploratory spirit, he exploits the plants and the land and tames the natives – a people of goats. In his newly built civilisation, however, he feels lonely, until he saves a cannibal from death… A wonderfully shot and insightfully satirical subversion of the Robinson Crusoe myth.
