Living with his grandmother in the capital of Bhutan, a young teacher dreams about moving to Australia to pursue a singing career. Instead, he has to complete a one-year training programme at the school in Lunana, a remote Himalayan village without electricity and with only fifty-six inhabitants. In the middle of a beautiful landscape, the search for happiness develops into a humorous journey into the heart of what really matters in life.
